Our story
Build (2016–2020)
Skiwo started in 2016 with TikkTalk, a platform to bring technology to Norway's language services industry. We raised capital in multiple rounds between 2016 and 2022, secured backing from Innovation Norway, and set out to change how government tenders worked. Our approach was simple: push for per-qualification pricing so that higher qualifications meant higher pay — and agencies competed on their margin, not by squeezing interpreter rates. We also built Plusstid Home for Orkla, acquired it in 2019, renamed it Triv, and later sold it to Leii.no in 2022.
Scale (2020–2025)
In 2020, we acquired Salita, one of Norway's established language services companies, and grew revenue from ~60 million to ~190 million NOK. The technology platform we built automated the majority of Salita's operations, enabling us to win more government tenders at competitive prices while maintaining quality. During this period, we also acquired RightPerson for background checking, launched Payout Partner for freelancer payroll, and built Report Securely for whistleblowing compliance.
Next (2026–)
In January 2026, we successfully exited Salita — the business we had built over a decade. It was a milestone that validated our approach: build technology, win tenders, automate operations, scale, and exit when the time is right. Our full focus is now on Right Person (formerly Manymore.com) and the Nordic background checking market, supported by Payout Partner and Report Securely. We are expanding to Sweden and actively looking for acquisition opportunities in the background checking space.
